Step 1: Download ‘SGH-959 Root Update.zip’ or scan the QR code from below.
Step 2: Rename the zip file to ‘update.zip’.
Step 3: Now steer to settings->Applications->USB settings and select Mass storage.
Step 4: Plug the device with PC and pull-down window of your device then select mount USB.
Step 5: Now you must copy the update.zip to the SD memory.
Step 6: Turn off the phone.

How to Update Samsung Galaxy Vibrant with Android 4.0:
Step 1: Click here to download ICS custom ROM for the Galaxy Vibrant.
Step 2: Click here to download Galaxy Vibrant kernel.
Step 3: Click here to download Superuser app.
Step 4: Connect your Samsung Galaxy Vibrant to your PC via USB cable to copy the three files you downloaded in Step 1, 2 and 3. You need to copy those files in the root directory of the vibrant’s SD card without renaming the files means not to modify the file names, just be as it is.
Step 5: Now turn off the device and then press and hold the volume down key with the OK button. While pressing the buttons downward press the power button. This way your phone gets rebooted in recovery mode.
Step 6: It’s time to do two things i.e. wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition in recovery mode. To scroll to these options you must use the volume rocker in the side and selecting the option by pressing the power button.
Step 7: After that select the ‘Install zip from sdcard’, then ‘Choose zip from sdcard’. After that navigate to the directory where you had saved the downloaded Zip files (step 1, 2 and 3) and then from them pick the ‘ICS_4.0.3_r1-RC2.11-i9000.zip’.
Step 8: The zip files will start flashing in your phone. Choose other two file ‘ICS-RC2.1-i9000-Glitch.zip’ and ‘Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip’ one after another in sequence in the same method.
Step 9: The process of flashing will take few minutes, so keep patient.
Step 10: When all the three zip files are flashed then reboot your device.
